Summer

The Children Sing, 174

1. Hark! hark! hark! A bird is singing there in the tree, What can it be that it says to me, Loud and clear, now plain as can be, “Summer, summer is here!”

2. See! see! see! A rosebud yonder nods to the sea, Lovingly blushes, then says to me, “Watch me open, now don’t you see, Summer, summer is here!”
