1. I have no home where shall I goWhile I am left to weep belowMy heart is paind my friends are gonAnd here I am left on earth to mourn
2. I see my people lying aroundAll lifeless here upon the groundYoung men and maidens in there goreWhich doth increase my sorrows more
3. My father gazed upon the seenAnd in his writings has made plainHow evry Nephite heart did fearWhen he beheld his foe draw near
4. With ax and bow they fell uponOur men, and women sparing noneAnd left them prostrate on the groundSo here they now are bleeding around
5. Ten thousand that were led by meLay round this hill called cumoriThere spirits from their bodies fledAnd they lay numbered with the dead
6. Well might my Father in surpriseCry, O ye fair ones once how fairHow is it that you have fallen soMy heart is filled with pain for you
