1. Favored little ones were they;
Who towards him Jesus drew!
Who within his arms he took
Just as loving parents do;

This of little children said.
“Such shall of my kingdom be,

Listen! to the Savior’s plea,

2. Jesus claims the children love;
Jesus loves them as of old!
Jesus calls from heav’n above,
“Feed my lambs and guard the fold;”
When the little children pray;
Jesus is not far away!
Jesus wants the children near,
Listen to his words so clear.
