1. Vingede skarer flyr de sorte skove. Under dem farer storm på villest vove. Over dem blinker stjernen mildt og vinker toget til palmers ly.
2. Akk, om jeg kunne følge fuglens baner, ville jeg blunde dog blant mørke graner; hist i det fjerne smiler ingen stjerne så søtt som drømme her.
