Representative lyrics
English (Original Language)
1. Young men of Zion, all who bearThe priesthood Aaron bore,Who watch and teach, expound, exhortAs ancients did before.Remember John the Baptist,Who conferred this pow’r of old;Let us prepare the way of ChristAs he did, strong and bold.
O be strong in the Lord,In the power of his might,Then come, put on his armorAnd stand up for the right. For we bear his priesthoodAnd he gives our call; With faith in his power,We give the Lord our all!
2. Young men of Zion, let us doOur duty to our GodAnd magnify our callings asWe walk where Christ has trod;Administ’ring the sacramentAnd minist’ring with love,We baptize to unlock the gateThat leads to heaven above.
O be strong in the Lord,In the power of his might,Then come, put on his armorAnd stand up for the right. For we bear his priesthoodAnd he gives our call; With faith in his power,We give the Lord our all!
3. Young men of Zion, let us liveThat we may soon obtainThe priesthood of MelchizedekAnd temple blessings gain. We’ll go and teach the nations all,Endowed with heav’nly pow’r,And lead our fam’lies unto ChristAs watchmen on the tow’r!
O be strong in the Lord,In the power of his might,Then come, put on his armorAnd stand up for the right. For we bear his priesthoodAnd he gives our call; With faith in his power,We give the Lord our all!
